Welcome to Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (CMR) Singapore 2008 Symposium. This is the first dedicated CMR symposium ever organized in Singapore, and we would like to extend a warm invitation to you to attend this exciting event. For this inaugural symposium, we will be focusing on coronary heart disease (CHD). CHD is of course the main killer in many countries and is increasing in prevalence in epidemic proportions. About 80% of most cardiology practice involves management of CHD and its complications. Although CMR is still a relatively new technology in Southeast Asia, it is rapidly gaining importance as the ideal noninvasive tool for the comprehensive evaluation of the patient with CHD.

We have lined up an impressive programme for you. At this symposium, you will learn from experts in the CMR field how CMR can be employed in the comprehensive assessment of the patient with CHD. Highlights of this symposium include:
